HURRICANE EARL BATTERS NAGS HEAD/KILL DEVIL HILLS World Cast News was on location yesterday in Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head, and then Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, as  Hurricane Earl closed in on the coast. Even though Earl weakened and the eye stayed offshore, it brought strong winds, beach erosion, and heavy rain squalls. But the biggest thing by far that surprised me was the waves generated from Earl, the winds which knocked my camera off the tripod as I was reporting, and alot of people who decided not to evacuate! Today, four Cedar Fair parks announced a new thrillride for 2011: Windseeker! Standing over 300 feet tall, Windseeker, designed by Mondial, will take riders high in the air for a ride like no other. Knotts Berry Farm, Canada's Wonderland, Kings Island, and Cedar Point, are the parks set to receive this new ride.   Posted on 24 Aug 2010 by William Bernstein jr Several People Hurt On Griffon Incident Several riders on Griffon were hurt Thursday evening, after storms rolled through the Busch Gardens Williamsburg area, and caused a prop to be blown into the path of an oncoming Griffon train. The ride reopened today, but here is a statement from Busch Gardens on the event: "At approximately 7:30 p.m. Thursday, a quickly moving storm caused a weather-related incident at Busch Gardens. A sudden gust of high wind knocked an inflatable prop into the path of a Griffon coaster train, which came to a stop at the top of the coaster's second hill. Guests were escorted from the train and treated on site for injuries. Five guests were transported to Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. Please contact the hospital for information on the guests' conditions."
